This is a Reuters photo. Lady Bird Johnson. She passed away at 94 years old. She was living in Austin, TX. We remember her pushing the cause of highway beautification. Too bad we didn't listen. Our interstates look terrible. She took out a $10,000 loan way back in 1939 to finance her husband's first campaign for Congress. She was also a successful businesswoman. She represented a different time and another era when females remained in the background behind their husbands. She died of natural causes. Bless her soul.
