What we find repulsive is the control that one person can have over many people. Even more repulsive to us is the lack of action people take to change that. One of our creeds is "live free or fight." The traditional version of that is "live free or die.", but you're going to get one hell of a fight from us before we come anywhere near close to death. As we all get older, we better define what we want and need and what bothers us most. And, at least for some of us, we will not stand for any one persons bullshit who tries to stand in our way. Truck drivers are followers, not leaders. This is why "you" are in a constant state of being controlled by individuals whether they be politicians or management. Truck drivers do not possess the education, experience, sophistication or backbone to fight. Drivers like to whine. And that is what they do best. When it comes time to write a letter, make a call or take any intelligent action, they fall very short of what many "civilians" outside the business regularly do. One look at today's "typical" truck driver and you see an individual that is more comfortable following a carrot than trying to grow one. Truck drivers are the worker ants, the privates, the airman, the sailors, the mechanics - the ones who wash the cars rather than own the car wash. They're the ones who either joined the Klan or stood by while innocent victims hung from trees, while in the same breath talking of Jesus. The newest "crop" of drivers is no better than the last. And so the cycle of control of the many by the few continues. But for us, we choose to be in the 2%, and will "live or fight." Till the death if we have to. Because there is no other way.
