Got home last Thursday afteroon. Sat in my favorite chair and enjoyed the extreme quiet, watched a little tv, spent some time reviewing mail and then went out to our favorite Italian restaurant. We had major rain storm with lots of flooding. Saturday spent the day over on the East coast in Boca. Sunday I don't remember. Monday spent in a coma. Decided to spend another day home. Here it is Tuesday, and I'm leaving tomorrow. ??? The weather in parts of the country I typically work in is miserable. It is 69 degrees and sunny here. I did a lot of laundry. I'm trying to have a life in less than a week. Now there's a great subject for a book for truckers - "How to have a life in less than a week." Problem is, like just about anything else concerning truckers, no one gives a shit and it wouldn't sell. If I were a prostitute or Paris Hilton (any difference?) I could make some money and appear on David Letterman. Anyway, tomorrow it's back in the truck - my box - for what might be another four, six or eight weeks. As the expression goes, it's a living. I still have to vacuum out the bunk area, put all the clothes back in and go shopping and spend money I really don't want to spend on food for the road. Since I don't own a car, I will have to wait until my wife gets home from work to go to the store. I also need a haircut, but that might have to wait until the next time I get home. While all this, I sure, is quite boring to you, it is the "life" of an OTR truck driver. The photo is of Paris Hilton.

Last day home...
