was the manager of the McDonald’s at the first Westbound service area on the Ohio turnpike. A girl because she looked 15 years old. The other person behind the counter was heavy set black woman with dreadlocks. It was both of them versus about twenty or so customers at 7:45pm. It seemed that everyone on the road decided to stop together. It did not help that this McDonald’s does not accept credit or debit cards. Folks would wait, then order a coffee and then find out they do not accept plastic. They were not happy. If you had time on your hands and looked at the menu, just below it was there a hand made sign that said no credit with a picture of a credit card with a big red line through it. One woman who ordered coffee lost it because it was going to take two minutes to brew another pot. She was unfairly yelling at both the manager and the employee. The other customers waiting for their orders just looked at her, quite aware that their had to be something else bothering her. She chose not to wait, even after paying the required cash. I e-mailed McDonald’s to complain about this location not taking credit, and to put in a good word for "the girl with one arm." ** I took the photo.
