Am I dreaming?

11:30ish. Mrs.Grumpy is cutting z's. I'm having trouble settling down after drinking 3 large sweet ice tea's with dinner. One of our dogs, Joe, jumps in bed and lays down snug against my back. His warmth is relaxing. I start to doze off. I had been watching that amazing Jamaican runner win the gold medal with a new world record. I'm getting comfortable. The tv is still on without sound. Sleep is on the way. I roll over. I open one eye. There appears to be four women in wet bikinis (two in red ones - the other two in white ones) in a warm rain in soft biege sand playing volleyball. All four are hugging and slapping and high five-ing each other. Huh. What a dream! What brought this on? Jeez this is wild! I continue to watch with one eye. I can't focus on the score. I don't really care what it is. Back and forth the multi-colored ball goes. Mrs. Grumpy is lightly snoring like a lioness, our other dog at her feet. I prop up my pillow and open both eyes. Hell, if this is really a dream, I'm going to enjoy it with both eyes. But, this is no dream. It's Misty and Kerri playing for their 2nd gold medal. Back and forth goes the ball and the score. I start to focus. USA wins the first set. The Chinese women seem to be having some trouble with the rain. One seems to have a sore arm that is being roughly massaged by a trainer. If my arm was sore what this guy was doing would only make it worse. The Chinese are losing, but this apparent arm problem surely is not the cause. The Americans are just better. I'm really into this. Misty blocks! Kerri scores! YEAH! Misty misses. Kerri recovers. Misty scores!! G O L D M E D A L!! OH YEAH! Cool! Misty does a little girly wiggle dance celebrating with the American flag. What a way to end the day. I smile. Television off. I easily fall asleep. I hope I dream some more tomorrow night.
