Well, well, well. Seems these two folks are "talking" mucho dinero mergerlicous dealios. Nothing concluded yet. The result could be - what is now the "Big 3" - would be - the "Big 2". The other being Ford. According to The New York Times, talks began about a month ago with a possible 50/50 chance of something happening. But then, corporate suits - execs - lawyers - the M&A folks and bankers - are like politicians and never tell the truth. What's that line from the movie (Clancey) The Hunt for Red October - "I'm a politician, which means while I kiss babies, I'm steal'n their lollypops." I hate GM, Chrysler and Ford. They can go straight to hell. 75+ years of crap products wasting gasoline and killing people. Ever hear of Ralph Nader? Ever been to Detroit?
