I didn't have anyone I knew or loved lose their life over in Iraq or Afghanistan. That obviously influences my feelings. I know they're a lot of people who hate you. I'm not one of them. I don't know how to reconcile your two terms in office. As someone said, "It's above my pay grade." You've made a bunch of mistakes - Katrina was a a whopper - but in my life and career, I've certainly made a bunch myself. True, I wasn't the Commander-in-Chief. But mano a mano, truly, no hard feelings. I wish you, and especially Laura and the "kids", the best of luck in the future.
I hope you do write a book - well, maybe like you did to get though Yale and Harvard, you'll pay someone to do it for you. But in any case, it will be interesting to get your "take" on the past 8 years. Please be honest and don't let Karl Rove or Chaney edit out any of it. We'll all know if you do.
