Larry, Curley and Moe...
If you want to experience first hand what is wrong with "our" government, then you only have to spend a few minutes watching these three clowns testify (and squirm) about the Mexican cross-border trucking program. I was in bed last night flipping around, trying to find something boring to help me fall asleep. I found this on C-Span. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to go out to my living room and tape this, but I didn't want to miss a minute. The two on the left - DJ Gribbin, the DOT lawyer (and Christian activist) and his "boss" DOT head Mary Peters are this year's choice for poster children for bureaucracy. Typical arrogant Bush appointees. I almost felt like I was hearing three officials from North Korea. I truly feel for Sen. Dorgan, D-ND, as he questioned these three, and did his best to hold his temper as he was becoming more and more frustrated. I have even greater respect for OOIDA which has to deal with this "Bush" mindset of screw the people, we're going to do what we want, we're going to find some loophole to let us do it and forget the consequences. This is clearly government "not for the people." It makes you want to tar and feather these folks and run 'em out of town.
