If you're a driver in Illinois, you need to go to the OOIDA web site and find out how to contact your representatives to repeal the 55 mph speed limit (65 for cars) now. I have never understood how one person - in this case 55 mph Blagojevich - can make every truck go 55 mph on roads where the speed limit elsewhere is safely 70 mph. Worse is the "split" of the limit where cars can go 65 mph. The whole "process" of split speed limits is ridiculous and unsafe. As a Florida resident, there is not much I can do about this.
