Strings...
Lot's a stuff happening today. Delivered this morning just outside Chicago. Picked up another load just west of downtown headed 400 miles away to KY. Repowered another load in Indianapolis going to Tampa. The paycheck was better than I thought. So I'm going to spend a few days home. Frankly it couldn't have come at a better time. I'm running out of everything, need to do laundry and a haircut is long overdue. One of my New Year's resolutions after learning Spanish is to learn to play 3 songs on the guitar. I found a guitar in the garage and took it on the road with me. In the privacy of my truck bunk I recently held a live concert for me and my stuffed animal companion - "the" white polar bear. Yeah so what, I have a stuffed animal. I don't have it walk it. I don't have to feed it. And "he" makes a great little pillow. He's my Wilson (Tom Hanks - Cast Away). Anyway, I went a little wild during my "performance." I managed to snap four of the guitar's six strings. Try buying guitar strings on the road. Forget it. So my "tour" was cancelled until I can get the guitar restringed (restrung?) and I can continue my lessons. Finally, in the next couple of weeks, we're going to turn things up a bit and I have some really "hot" new articles for you that the trucking media will not touch.
