Back in Laredo...

and if you take a close look at the bottom of the tach, you will see the outside temp. is 116 degrees. Toward the mid-afternoon, after working outside all day securing and tarping, you're wasted. Forget eating, you must stay hydrated with any liquid available. After having to put up with the ridiculous traffic through Austin, I spent the rest of the day at the broker. Before going over to "our" Laredo "facility" I had to "terminalize" my truck. That means making sure there is nothing the safety pinheads can spot , waste my time and "page" me in for a "little" talk. So my camera, laptop, GPS, Sirius radio and a bunch of other stuff is stripped down and put in the bunk with curtains closed. Tarps in the side box, ladder secured with a 2" ratchet strap, lumber secured, etc. Tomorrow when I get another load, I will stop at the Love's up the road and put everything back so I can do my job. In order words, I will "determinalize" the truck. I hate terminals. I loath the people that work there. Top on the list of the people I despise work in safety and maintenance. I know most company drivers agree with me.
