Good job...

This is "Pastor" Rick Warren, who did a bang up job interviewing McCain and Obama the other day. In fact, he did a far better job than any of the four networks have done. I knew little of Warren and his best selling book. A couple of days ago, I "scanned" the book at my local Borders and found nothing that would cause me to buy it. I don't watch him on television and shy away from almost all televangelists. I was not going to watch this telecast, but then it just seemed to pop up everywhere and so I listened. And it was good. It was fair and lively and informative. Sure Warren, could have pressed harder on some things, but even the major networks don't pursue many issues adequately or ask better questions. For example, I'm against abortion, but the question I want answered is: so if we outlaw abortion - repeal Rowe - then what is a woman suppose to do if she gets pregnant? Will we force her to have a unwanted child? Will she be forced to have an "illegal" abortion in some dirty back room somewhere? Will we force her to give it up for adoption to a stranger? Would Warren and his "Christian" followers help out? Is this what we really want? But then this type of query is (right now) beyond that of Warren or the major networks, or is it? As I said, Warren did a good job and maybe next election he and others like him can hone their skills to put candidates on the hot seat and ask the "terrible" questions we all want answers to - like the ones I just posed.
