and I always try (even while driving a big rig) to stop off here for lunch or dinner. They are unique and Krystal is a poor second. Actually, having stopped at a couple Krystal's here and there, I find their food horrible. Now White Castle, well, now that's something truly special. When Mrs. Grumpy and I were courting, we went to our local WC and picked up their special little square burgers and fries and had a picnic. Back when I was a kid, a waitress on roller skates would come out, take your order and bring back the food on a special tray that fit right on the drivers side window. The rolling waitresses are gone, but the menu is just about the same just larger and better. I was somewhere in Indiana the other day - that's where I took the photo - and the food was better than ever. Of course, I had to have one of their awesome chocolate shakes along with a bag 'a fries, burgers (a few) and two fish sandwiches. My only regret is that there's not more White Castle's, especially in Florida. Oh well. Hey, have you tried Friendly's? Their Reece's Piece's Sunday? Man 'o man, are you missing something!

I love this place...
