Well, despite the troubles of the auto & truck manufacturing industry, I’m actually moving truck parts from PA to TX. I could sure use the 1600 miles. This after the fiasco with the DOD. This material was on a preloaded trailer and the shipper took care of the securement. I felt just like a pussy box truck driver – drop and hook. Wow, what a concept. I had so much energy left when I was done. So this is what it feels like. And even better, this is a company that has decided to remain in the US and not move itself or their jobs to Mexico. Congrats to them. It’s very strange to head down the road without putting any straps, chains or a tarp on the load. I wish every shipper would do this for me.
