Finally home...burning butt

My ass hurts. I've been sitting in this damn truck seat for over 40 long days. I don't care how much the company spent on this seat, it sucks. I haven't found a truck seat yet that was good enough to hold my rear comfortably day after day. No damn way. Maybe the seat feels good to the company president's momma, but not to me, and from what I see, my rump, is pretty much typical of an OTR truckers butt. So it's more Advil and sitting a pillow for a few days until my "posterior" gets back to "normal." It's finally raining in southern FL after a long draught. Driving on I10 east of Tallahassee was all eye-burning smoke from the many forest fires because of the lack of consistent rain. Of course, it waited until I got home to rain, which dampens (pardon the pun) my plans to get some rays at the beach. There are now about 6 homes on my block of 40 that are for sale. The market is horrible, but the signs stay up. Our next store neighbor was moving our today over I-4 to Orlando. Despite Disney, that's one of the most miserable places to live in the US. The Mrs. got a promotion (hubby will have to find another job) and the company will put them (and the kids) up at one of those residential motels until the house sells. I have a feeling that it's going to be on the market a long time. We've lived in our house for about 20 years and everybody else just seems to come and go. Whatever, I don't really care. It's Chinese for dinner tonight and I will try to get a decent nights sleep. Last night, just after coming home, we had some birthday cake - I, of course, was on the road on my birthday, and I think being overtired and eating chocolate, I couldn't sleep. I moved out to one of the big living room chairs, watched Orange County Choppers and woke up around 6:45am. After transferring to the big bed, I feel asleep until about 11am. I mentioned my burning butt, but I truly feel like shit all over. I've been home now for just about 24 hours.
