Dave Sweetman is (really) boring...

Dave Sweetman is a owner operator who makes a lot of money transferring high value exotic cars from one place to another. He wrote some funny stuff for one of those "typically" run of the mill trucking industry publications. Then, for some reason, he moved over to write a column for OOIDA. And now he is boring. His latest piece in Land Line is titled "It ain't easy being green." And once again, as he has done before in his other pieces, he talks about his truck which 99% of drivers could never possibly afford. He tells us to check tire pressure and use a tire thumper. And he, again and again, describes his "Onan" generator. BORING! What happened to Sweetman's sense of humor? He moved over OOIDA and his mind has somehow become ooida-ized. He has become a grumpy old boring preacher of the what we all already know and don't want to be reminded of. He is exciting as your company's fuel supervisor. Sweetman, if you don't already know, has the perfect credit rating, is buddies with the rich and famous like Jay Leno, always has great paying freight, gets along great with his boss, knows all the answers and has probably driven tens of millions of miles with not a scratch on his or some other perfect persons vehicle. Strangely - his own quirk - he spends an inordinate amount of time spreading his brilliance on that annoying & childish Truckers Roundtable. He is the antithesis of the "super trucker", at least according to Sweetman. But, Dave, you're not funny anymore. If you need help finding your funny bone mojo Dave-arino, give me a jingle. Happy trails!
