I praised "Pastor" Rick Warren for his interviews with John McCain and Barack Obama. But, his campaign against gay marriage is unforgivable. As a straight man who has been married for 30 years I support gay marriage.
I view domestic terrorism as any activity that interferes with the rights and freedoms of any individual of any religion, race or sexual preference. Warren is a domestic terrorist. He is not an American.
Warren says: "There is no reason to change the universal, historical definition of marriage to appease 2 percent of our population ." This is not a matter of tradition - his "preachings" are clearly a matter of discrimination. He goes on: "This is not a political issue, it is a moral issue that God has spoken clearly about. There is no doubt where we should stand on this issue." Oh yes there is, “Pastor” Warren - considerable doubt. God's words are not static, they are and must continue to be fluid. God didn't make us morons. I believe she would expect us to "go with the flow" of the times. Otherwise we would be doing a lot of dumb things, like sacrificing lambs every full moon and stoning women to death for adultery.
Gay marriage is not your business, “Pastor” Warren. You have a right to your opinion. But you do not have any right to prevent laws guaranteeing the rights of others, whether they represent 2% of the population or not. Warren needs to be saved from his prejudice. He is quite ignorant of the teachings of Jesus and is far from a true Christian.
